Companies cannot apply to enter this award. Finalists from each category will be put forward to this final award, with the winner walking away with the prestige title of Business of the Year and a £2,500 cheque to plough into their business.

Enterprise through Innovation Award

Supported by Business Enterprise Fund

Could you honestly say that you have transformed the way that you do business through innovation and innovative business practices? Then prove it to us.

The judges will be looking for businesses that have enhanced their bottom line through the introduction of innovative products and services or introduced radically innovative processes and customer service to put them ahead of the competition. You will clearly be able to demonstrate that you have created energy and a buzz in your business and customer base.

Fastest Growing Business Award

Supported by Doncaster LEGI

Have you had a bumper year, outstripping all projected targets and growth expectations? Then why not shout about your success and earn the PR kudos, to propel your growth in the future?

The judges will be looking for businesses that have significantly exceeded their business plan expectations either in terms of increased profitability, turnover or market share.

Enterprise in the Community Award

Supported by Key Fund Yorkshire

The social enterprise sector is going from strength to strength and this award is designed to recognise and celebrate the fact that profit and social objectives can make a winning combination. The award is open to ‘not for profit’ and charitable organisations.

The judges will be looking for evidence that you are an imaginative, entrepreneurial, sustainable business with a real passion for and success in meeting your social objectives.

Best New Start Award

Supported by Leeds LEGI Sharing the Success

This award is open to businesses under three years of age. It has been created to encourage and reward successful new businesses. You must demonstrate success against their initial business plan whilst developing a clear commercial understanding of your products, competitors and marketplace.

The judging panel will be looking to identify a business that has set clear USP’s and having established a position of sustainable future profitability and success. You will have developed and implemented a strategy that has resulted in a strong brand or image and great financial results.
